The Jeong Project is a collaborative work created with other artists and writers of the Korean American Artist Collective. On March 16, 2021, a series of mass shootings resulted in the death of 8 people, 6 of whom were Asian women and 4 of whom were Korean women. Twenty-three Korean American artists and writers have contributed to this limited edition portfolio of zines, prints, poems, and essays centered around the theme of jeong, which is a Korean concept that encapsulates a strong sense of community, connection, and solidarity. The artists and writers came together in solidarity to heal, celebrate their roots, and support fellow marginalized communities in the spirit of jeong. A full, digital portfolio is accessible on The Jeong Project website.
