Sustainable Sculptures is a project that conveys concerns for climate change and the specific actions taken to live more sustainably. Recycled, found objects and ecofriendly materials are used to create functional sculptures that require consistent care, provide sustenance, and can easily dematerialize back into the earth. The aim is to make small yet meaningful changes in life that can add up over time to significantly reduce the harmful impact on the environment. The work is about finding joy in having a direct connection to the products of labor and the food consumed, meaningfully reconnecting with the earth, and gaining a new appreciation for the labor of farmers and agrarian workers.
